Depression and anxiety are on the rise among the entire population. Yogi Bhajan predicted that ever since we entered the Aquarian Age - this period would be marked by information overload, stress, lack of time, and increased social and personal needs. He said that people would try to solve the problem with the increased use of electronic technology. It will affect our health the most. Normal defense of the nervous system will accelerate, heart rate and blood pressure will increase.
People will try to fight, retreat, alienate themselves or fantasize too much, some will resort to drug, alcohol and violence. Everyone will be affected by the pressure of modern times.
Yogi Bhajan warned us that we would no longer be able to rely solely on our physical strength. The best way is to learn how to calm the mind and find the inner strength, the power of the spirit so that we can manage this wave of change. We need to turn inward, and meditation and breathing exercises help us do that. We need to balance the glands with internal secretion, strengthen the nervous system, control the mind, and allow the inner wisdom to help us take the action we need, and to make decisions in our daily challenges.
Depression is a very complex condition that is often the result of the cumulative effect of various factors. Generally, depression occurs when reality is not in line with our expectations or ideas of what reality should be. WHEN DOES THE PROGRAM START?
